A Year in Cell Phone Photos

I'm finally getting around to recycling some old cell phones, and went through the photos on them. They're about 4 - 5 years old. A somewhat random sample:

Covert photo of Laura Bush at Camp David.

One of my all-time favorite pairs of shoes. I took this pic the day I bought them and emailed to Lee, who promptly had me to send her a pair in her size. I wore these shoes today! I'll be very sad when they fall apart.

Learning how to take a shower.

Toddler Ray-Bans.

I love this smile.

Self-portrait at bedtime became a nightly ritual for about a month.

David McCullough borrowing my (other) cell phone at the Truman Library.

Dressed up for Carol Lagundo's wedding.

My hit-and-run. I was the runnee, not the runner.

Why I didn't spend much time outside at the Reagan Library.

Is this really my child?

Michael wanted to take Lily shoe shopping after camp today since she's wearing the same raggy pair of high tops every day.

She said "No thanks, I really don't like shoe shopping."

My first major disappointment as a mother.

Upon the Loss of Tooth #2

Lily: Mommy, are you sure that there's a tooth fairy and it's not just you and Daddy leaving the money?
Deb: Why do you ask that?
Lily: I just want to know.
Deb: Well, would that make it less special?
Lily: Yes. Because then you would just be giving me our money and we wouldn't be getting any new money.

Happy 4th of July

For the 5th year in a row we attended the National Archives Fourth of July celebration.

Lily's patriotic dress, provided by Grandma Fran.

I take this photo every year. Eventually I'll get the lighting right.

Lily with the first-ever National Archives float.

My colleague Franck and his amazing holiday pants.

More amazing holiday pants.

More of the day's photos are on my Flickr account.
