The Magic Kingdom

Our trip to Disneyworld was amazing. I can't thank my parents enough for making this memory for Lily. We stayed at the Port Orleans resort, and my parents even decorated our room with a tree and other Christmas decorations.

Monday was spent at the Magic Kingdom, where Lily loved the teacups and the castle fireworks, but no so much the Haunted House.

Tuesday we celebrated Christmas in the morning, then went from resort to resort looking at decorations. She and Michael also went in the hotel pool and down the dragon water slide. Tuesday night we had a Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian - watching Lily's excitement at the characters was wonderful. My mom arranged a total of 4 character meals, so Lily filled up her autograph book (which will be this Friday's show and tell item).

Wenesday we went to the Animal Kingdom, which was very cool. Went on a real animal safari, and Dad, Lee and Michael went on the Mount Everest rollercoaster. They were a little wobbly as they got off! We loved the nemo show, but the highlight of the day was the Lion King show, where Lily got to open the show and to make giraffe noises for the crowd! I fear the show biz bug might have bit her. At night we went to downtown Disney, then collapsed.

Thursday morning Michael had to go home, but the rest of us went to Disney where Lily got to do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Unbelievable. Photos follow. We also rode It's A Small World for the second time. Friday we hung out at the Polynesian, then Lily and I flew home and Mom, Dad, and Lee headed to Punta Gorda.

I'm sure I'm forgetting so much, but I wanted to get these pictures up. You can see many more by clicking here. I'll add my mom's photos to that set as she sends them.

Thank you again Mom and Dad!

Best Housegift Ever

Have any of your guests ever brought you a stalk of bananas? That's what happens when your parents live in Florida. Banana bread!

Happy Thanksgiving

Lily is thankful for "all the letters in the alphabet." Me, for family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

A Visit

My Mom and Dad were here last week. As many of you know, the visit was not great from a medical news perspective, but at least Lily got to see her grandparents . . . and, of , course, Chico. We love you, Mom and Dad.

"Cheeky, Cheecky, Cheecky, here Cheecky."

Practicing her smile for the class photo.

Something only grandparents would think of.

My Mom's proof that there were snowflakes in the air. Kind of hard to see, but they were there!

Beauty Shop

Lily and I had the day off today. First, we went for some hair styling, then to see Madagascar 2. Lily really likes her bangs. I think they're a little crooked, but don't tell her.

Did you know leg warmers are back in style??

Halloween

Halloween was a huge day for Lily. First, a parade at school, then a party, then a pumpkin patch. Then, when she got home, Grandma Joann and Papa had arrived. Then, trick or treating. Despite the trauma of having to wear a sweater over her costume, she pronounced the day "so fun I want every day to be Halloween."

School parade.

Puzzles with Grandma Joann.

Very cool screaming straw (it's now hidden).
