Lily's First Fad
Unless you count Dora and princesses. Now it's Silly Bandz, little silicon rubberbands in fun shapes (animals, Shrek, flowers, etc.) that you wear as bracelets, and when you take them off they bounce back to their original shape. $4.99 for a package of 24. Sheer genius. All the cool kids have them.

Mark read an article from the Silly Bandz inventor (who didn't really invent them, but saw them in Japan and brought the idea here) - he said he was looking for a product that kids would buy $100 of, $5 at a time. Clever, no? And our household has certainly contributed ; )
