Opening Day
Not much of an Easter - Michael was sick in bed all day. But we did enjoy the first sprinkler day of the season. The season has officially begun.

Luray Caverns
We took a day trip to Luray Caverns today. We've been talking about going there for more than 20 years. It was really beautiful (but hard to photograph in the low light).
Our favorite spot - Dream Lake.
Lily really loved it. She listened to the audio tour for both kids and adults. The one hour tour took us 2 1/2 hours.
The weather was kind of crummy. After the caves we had late lunch in the town of Luray, then headed on home. Beltway traffic.

High Drama in the Forest
On Lily's weekly Sunday morning forest walk with Daddy, she stepped in a mud hole...
... and lost her shoe.
Her solution: make a "shoe" out of bark and vines!
It kinda worked! Waiting for the Survivor: Kids franchise.
