Mad Scientist
Lily got a "Disgusting Science" kit for Christmas.
This experiment was designed to mimic the digestive system. We had to coat a balloon with oil, fill with bread crumbs, squish them up, add vinegar, and then squeeze out to make bread "poo poo."
Upper left: mucus (really green gelatin, with the choice to go chunky or extra slimy); upper right: blood (red gelatin that we got to dry into scabs); in the center: petri dished we swabbed with samples from various body parts. Stay tuned for the spectacular results!

Bebop
January 9 would have been my paternal grandfather's 105th birthday. He was one of the finest, sweetest men who ever lived, and we're so lucky to have had him into his 90s. In his honor, I think I'll go to a Golden Corral, order fried shrimp, and flirt with the waitress.

Downtown
Michael and Lily get home from Chicago tonight, so I occupied my last day by going downtown. I saw The King's Speech (pretty good), got a massage, and played with my camera (Lensbaby lens, which can make things look like miniatures, and HDR processing).
