On Lily's weekly Sunday morning forest walk with Daddy, she stepped in a mud hole...

... and lost her shoe.

Her solution: make a "shoe" out of bark and vines!

It kinda worked! Waiting for the Survivor: Kids franchise.

Found Lily like this early Saturday morning. The lawn chair and plastic daiquiri cup were won at Bingo Night the evening before. The Fairy Tales book was mine as a kid and is her new obsession. The scraped knee was a "blacktop" injury at Bingo Night.

Bubble

Bubble on a blade of grass. If you look closely, you can see me and our house in the reflection on the bubble. Didn't even use a macro lens for this.

Back from Hiatus

I've been really remiss in not updating the blog in a month - busy at work, busy at home... sorry mom!

This was Lily's idea.

Two lost teeth in the last two weeks.

Skating

Lily and Michael went skating this afternoon.

Lily started out with double-bladed skates. She'd only been skating once before, when she was two years old.

She quickly graduated to real skates (and a helmet). Michael was amazed at how good (and fearless) she was, and relieved he didn't have to hold her up the whole time.

Lily asked me to add this statement: "It was fun and I fell down sometimes but I got up."
